BRTC Awards the Jenkins GED Scholarship

Linsey Rodgers of Delaplaine has been awarded the Jenkins GED Scholarship made possible by funding Kenneth and Willa Jenkins.

Rodgers graduated from the Pocahontas GED program in 2022. She is married to Jonathan Rodgers and the couple have four children: Kadence, Aryanna, Alexandra, and Briar. She is pursuing a degree in business administration.

The Mrs. Jenkins GED Scholarship was established to encourage GED students to pursue a career and advance in the workforce. Kenneth, owner of Jenkins Welding, and Willa Jenkins’, a long-time Randolph County educator, children graduated from the BRTC welding and nursing programs. To be eligible for the Jenkins GED scholarship students must be a graduate of the Pocahontas GED program, a welding or nursing student, and enrolled full-time.
