BRTC Awards Leave a Legacy Scholarship

Madison Forbis of Paragould has been awarded the Leave a Legacy Scholarship.

Forbis is a graduate of Greene County Tech High School. She is the daughter of Shannon and Christi Sims. She is married to Mason Forbis, and is seeking a degree in nursing.

The Leave a Legacy Scholarship was founded by the May 2015 Practical Nursing class, who had a goal to leave a legacy for future nursing students at BRTC. They saw the financial hardships nursing students face during the last semester of the nursing program due to licensure fees, and decided to form the scholarship to help offset the cost of the fees. Each graduating class has continued the legacy through fundraising activities and continued donations to the scholarship.

Congratulations, Madison!
