Black River Technical College (BRTC) is pleased to announce Brittney Lawson of Powhatan has been awarded the Florence Nightingale Scholarship.
Lawson is a 2007 graduate and she is the daughter of Tonya and Narvel Phillips of Powhatan. She has one daughter, Phoebe Lawson, and she is seeking a degree in nursing.
The Nightingale Scholarship is sponsored and chosen by the BRTC nursing faculty and staff. Recipients are chosen based on qualities that exemplify the spirit of caring embodied by Florence Nightingale. These nurses are motivators and visionaries who contribute to the redefining of the profession of nursing
