Black River Technical College Ranked 4th Safest Community College in the United States

POCAHONTAS, AR. Nov. 19–Black River Technical College has been ranked 4th Safest Community College in the USA in 2020 according to the website StateUniversity.com.  The rankings for the Safest Community Colleges in the USA are available at https://www.stateuniversity.com/rank/safety_score_rank_by_commc/1#4.

To compile the list, StateUniversity.com “utilized Cleary and FBI data to analyze 1,585 colleges and universities to assign safety ratings. The assigned ratings are based on the following criteria: the number of weapon occurrences, drugs, burglary, vehicle theft, arson, larceny, robbery, forcible and non-forcible rape, murder and non-negligent manslaughter, and aggravated assault.”
