James Freeman of Pocahontas is the son of James and Teresa Freeman and husband to Julie Freeman. He is a 1980 graduate of Maynard High School who is seeking an Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing. Freeman is a BRTC member of Phi Theta Kappa, The National Technical Honor Society and the Student Activities Board.

The President’s Scholarship pays full tuition for fall and spring semesters provided the recipient maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipients had to submit a 100-200 words self-descriptive essay.
