Auto Collision Technology Instructor

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for Auto Collision Technology Instructor. This is a full time nine-month contract position beginning August 11, 2025.

This position will be teaching courses in structural and non-structural repair, refinishing, and damage analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong industry experience, a commitment to student success, and a desire to contribute to a high-quality technical education program.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Auto Collision Technology courses in lecture and hands-on lab settings
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-standard learning environment
  • Develop and revise curriculum to align with ASE/NATEF standards
  • Advise and mentor students pursuing careers in collision repair
  • Support program accreditation and participate in department initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Auto Collision Technology or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching or training experience in an educational or professional setting
  • Current ASE certifications (Collision Repair & Refinishing preferred)
  • Knowledge of ASE/NATEF (ASE Education Foundation) certification standards
  • 3+ years of recent, relevant auto collision industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
