Creating a Safe and Inclusive Environment at BRTC
Black River Technical College is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning and working environment—free from all forms of sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. BRTC does not tolerate sexual misconduct in any form. Through our Title IX efforts and campus-wide support, we provide resources, education, and response protocols to address incidents of interpersonal violence and ensure that every member of our campus community feels supported and protected. For assistance or more information, please explore the Title IX resources provided on this webpage or reach out directly to one of the BRTC staff members listed below.
Black River Technical College encourages students to communicate with College administration, faculty, and staff regarding College operations and procedures and encourages students to use existing policies, personnel, and departmental offices to express specific concerns.
Wherever possible, complaints at Black River Technical College are handled in an informal manner. Administrators, faculty, and staff maintain an “open-door” policy to discuss issues of concern for all students. Faculty and staff serve as a resource for individuals seeking assistance in resolving matters within the College community.
