Workforce Training Hosts Peco Foods for Training Sessions

Black River Technical College (BRTC) Workforce Training recently held a specialized class for Peco Foods on the Pocahontas campus.

Production and maintenance teams from Peco’s Pocahontas and West Point, MS, locations attended the class. The class covered training on operating and trouble shooting for the MP MegaJet water jet portioner. The industrial water jet portioners are used in the factories to help cut product.

During the production process, the machine cuts product to the desired size, shape, and weight. The MegaJet uses Direct Drive robotic cutters and an on board ultra-high-pressure pumping system to provide flexibility, substantial labor savings, and maximized productivity.

BRTC works closely with local and state workforce development agencies and area economic development initiatives to serve the needs of businesses and industries within Clay, Greene, Lawrence, and Randolph counties in developing workforce programs which benefit the workforce and employers. Workforce Training offers training in Pocahontas, Paragould, Piggott, and online. BRTC is proud to serves as the sole provider of education for the Greene County Industrial Training Council (GCITC).
