BRTC Graduates 13 Paragould Local Electrical Apprentices

Black River Technical College (BRTC) recently graduated 13 Paragould Local Electrical Apprentices.

The graduates were Christopher Barry, Dustin Brewer, Hunter Clark, Hayden Cook, Jacob Cox, Jacob Houston, Douglas Kossak, Cole Layne, Riley Messer, Brandy Ullrey, Bailey Wallace, David Walters, and Nicholas Wolverton. They completed the required 576 classroom and 8000 OJT hours as outlined by the Office of Apprenticeship and the Department of Labor.

Graduates received a Certificate of Completion from the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship and a Fluke 373 Meter.

The Top Student honor for 4th year apprentice went to Hayden Cook who earned the highest-grade point average and attendance for the class.  Paragould Electric Supply donated a gift Cook.  The 3rd year Top Student was awarded to Cody McGinn, 2nd year Top Student was awarded to Bobby Wilson, and 1st year Top Student was awarded to Connor Smith.

The electrical apprenticeship program is a 4-year apprenticeship program designed to prepare individuals for occupations in skilled trades and crafts.  Apprenticeship combines related classroom instruction with on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced and licensed workers.
