BRTC PTK Induction Ceremony Date Announced, Projects Considered

The Black River Technical College (BRTC) Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Chapter met for their January meeting recently.

PTK was joined by Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Brad Baine to discuss potential projects for the PTK requirement of a college project to achieve a 5-star rating. “Great ideas and comments were shared and a college project is forthcoming from our chapter,” said PTK advisor Dianna Fraley.

Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society for 2-year colleges across the country. It requires that students have at least 12 credit hours and a 3.5 GPA to join. PTK offers leadership skills, community service hours, and access to over 90 million dollars in scholarship opportunities to its members.

Invitation letters are sent out to eligible students each semester and an Induction Ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on March 28 in the Randolph County Development Center.

The next PTK meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 9am in rooms ITC 107 on the Paragould campus and BT 106 on the Pocahontas campus.
