BRTC Trap Team Female Shooters Place 2nd and 3rd in Conference

For the Spring 2022 season, two of BRTC’s female trap team members placed second and third against all 53 female shooters in their conference.  Bre Burrow of Marmaduke finished second overall with a 21.5 average.  Aaryon Vaughn of Paragould finished third overall with a 21.4 average. First place went to Emily Brantana from Western Michigan University with an average of 22.2.

For the 2022 Spring Trap League, 24 college teams were assigned to 4 conferences based on team size and BRTC was the only participant from Arkansas.  BRTC’s conference 1A was composed of 9 colleges and universities:  Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois; Dakota College at Bottineau at Bottineau, North Dakota; Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan; Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York; Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, North Dakota; Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan; Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, Illinois; and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

BRTC’s trap team participated in the USA High School Clay Target League during the 2021-2022 academic year.  Teams competed “virtually,” meaning they shot at their local ranges, submitted their scores to the league who compares scores against others in their league.  BRTC’s team shot at the shooting range in Corning.
