PARAGOULD, AR Sept. 29— Arkansas’s Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop visited Black River Technical College’s Paragould campus on Tuesday, September 14.

Students and community members had hands-on experiences with the 12 in-demand professions represented in the mobile unit: truck driver; diesel tech; locomotive engineer; welder; machinist; computer numerical control (CNC) operator; tool and die maker; computer programmer; computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) drafter; heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) tech; plumber; electrician and carpenter.

Priscilla Stillwell, Executive Director of Paragould Operations, expressed how exciting it was to have the Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Unit on campus by stating, “Be Pro Be Proud is designed to showcase the skill sets of Arkansas’s trained workforce. Jobs are like personalities and preferences, and there is a growing pride in being a skilled technical worker. BRTC rocks this type of training, and we want all of Arkansas to think of us when they want to diversify their skill sets.”
