Students Utilize Technology Offered at BRTC

Jayden Seawell, BRTC student, picking up laptop

POCAHONTAS, AR Feb. 23— On Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, Black River Technical College gave students the opportunity to check out laptops to prepare for the pivot to remote learning ahead of the incoming winter storm.

Both campuses had laptops prepared for students to pick up from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Jayden Seawell, as well as other students, took advantage of this opportunity provided by the college.

Dr. Brad Baine, Vice President for Academics, states, “At BRTC, we are continually working to provide a conducive learning opportunity for all of our students.  With the threat of inclement weather approaching our communities, BRTC administration and leadership teams worked together to strategically distribute personal laptops to all students in need.  The quality leadership of BRTC Library Director, Mr. Mark Warnick, was instrumental in this academic initiative. I am grateful for all the efforts of the entire BRTC family, as we strive to provide the finest educational opportunities for our students.\”
