Student Spotlight

Andrew Houser and Family

Andrew Houser of Sherwood, Arkansas, is our newest Student Spotlight. He recently graduated with a Technical Certificate of Medical Coding and passed the CPC exam.

Houser stated that is glad he chose BRTC and is very grateful to all those who helped make his success possible, adding, “I am so thankful for my amazing family who has been supportive.”  He also expressed his appreciation for his instructor, Jordan Mathis. “She encouraged me to push on when I doubted myself,” voices Houser.

He offered words of encouragement to those thinking about starting college to seek a new career, stating, “It is never too late. Go back to school if you’ve been contemplating it or join a trade. You control your future. I had only wished I realized this sooner.”

Houser is now employed at Arkansas Urology as a Coding Specialist. He and his wife, Megan, have three children: Milla, Baylor, and Jemma.
