BRTC Remembers 9/11

BRTC\’s LETA Remembers 9/11

POCAHONTAS, AR. Sept. 16. The BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy and Fire Science students observed a moment of remembrance for those who served, those who were lost, and those who were affected by 9/11.

Steve Shults, Director of the Law Enforcement Training Academy states, \”We want our students to be informed on the history of what happened on September 11, 2001. More than four hundred first responders stormed in those buildings to save lives, and lost theirs. The sacrifices they made should never be forgotten.\”

Alan Haskins, Fire Science Instructor, adds, “I feel in the current climate of our country we need to make sure our first responders remember the events of that day. I also want firefighters who are just coming into the field to know what all happened that day and the loss of life that occurred. Many of the new recruits we see were either not born or too young to remember what happened.”
