2016 Family History Series

Do you want to learn more about your ancestry?  How would you like to turn your family history into a fascinating life story?  Let us show you how!  The Corporate & Community Education Department of Black River Technical College is offering the 2016 Family History Series workshop.  This course will be instructed by Cindy Toney Robinett, Historian and Professional Genealogist.  Participants who attend this workshop will learn about:  origins of surnames, narrative writing, information regarding DNA testing, some of the best online resources for free, and what makes the best online subscription resources worth the cost.  The 2016 Family History Series workshop will be held on Thursdays, April 7 and 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Register at the Continuing Education Building, located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus, College Drive, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Deadline to register is Tuesday, April 5.
