PARAGOULD, AR. Sept. 8. Two of BRTC’s own graduated from Leadership Paragould’s Class of XXIII. Dr. Martin Eggensperger, President of BRTC, and Phillip Dickson, Dean of Business and Technology, completed the yearlong program on August 20, 2020, in a commencement ceremony.

According the Paragould Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Paragould was designed to identify existing and potential community leaders, provide training in various concepts of leadership and the accompanying skills, provide participants with an awareness of the issues and opportunities facing the community, and establish a plan enabling participant to work confidently as individuals and collectively as a group to address community challenges.

Dr. Eggensperger stated, “Leadership Paragould allowed us not only to develop a personal network of community leaders, but also to develop an awareness of the issues and opportunities facing the Paragould community.  Though met with challenges due to COVID 19, the program leaders still managed to equip our class with valuable tools for us to demonstrate leadership and civic engagement. The experience was both personally and professionally invaluable.”

Dean Dickson added, “Participating in Leadership Paragould Class 23 was an invaluable opportunity.  Through the course of the year-long program, I developed an outstanding group of friends and contacts and developed an awareness of the opportunities and issues in the Paragould/Green County area. I feel the program was great and would highly recommend anyone interested in leadership and civic engagement to participate if given the chance.”
