Sue McGowan Name to BRTC’s Black River Technical College Board of Trustees

POCAHONTAS, AR Nov. 12 – On November 4, Governor Asa Hutchinson appointed Sue McGowan of Paragould to a 7-year term on the Black River Technical College Board of Trustees.

McGowan, a native of Paragould, has been Director of Economic Development & CEO of the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce for the past 16 years. Before she worked at the Chamber, she owned a real estate office for 17 years.

“We are very excited to have Sue join our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. Martin Eggensperger, BRTC president. “Her economic development expertise will be invaluable to our growth in Paragould.”

In August, McGowan was presented with the Maria Haley Lifetime Leadership Award for Economic Development by the Arkansas Economic Developers and Chamber Executives (AEDCE). In September, she was named one of 10 NEA Women in Business by Arkansas Talk Business & Politics.

McGowan is the mother of grown twin sons and the grandmother of 6, ranging in ages from 3 to 10.
