National Technical Honor Society Fall 2016 Induction Ceremony

An induction ceremony for BRTC’s National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) was held October 27 in the Randolph County Development Center.

NTHS, recognizes the accomplishments of students in the college’s technical education programs.  It encourages members to maintain high personal standards and invest their talents, skills, and knowledge in their future careers, their everyday lives, and their communities.

To qualify as a member, BRTC students must have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours of course work in a technical field and have a 3.5 GPA.  Once inducted into NTHS, a member must maintain a 3.0 GPA to retain membership in the Society.

The 21 new members inducted were:  Cheryl Allen, Amber Bryant, Brittany Cox, Vanna Early, Joshua Foster, James Freeman, Julie Freeman, April Green, Rachael Hall, Maryam Hamdaoua, Keith Hickox, Jena Krzton, Laura Luster, Ashley Mansfield, Christy Martin, Amber McClung, Sabrina Naquin, Danny Short, Jerica Thacker, Dakota Willingham, and Katelynn Woodard.

BRTC’s NTHS advisors are Christina Derbes, Dietetics instructor, Mack Downey, Business instructor, Alan Haskins, Fire Science instructor, and Gary Meier, Machine Tool Technology instructor.
