Heartsaver® First Aid/CPR/AED

The Corporate & Community Education Department of Black River Technical College is offering Heartsaver® First Aid/CPR/AED, a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. This course teaches skills with the American Heart Association’s (AHA) research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.  Upon completion of this course, participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid/CPR/AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.  This course is open to anyone, but will especially be helpful to those with limited or no medical experience who want training in these areas.  Heartsaver® First Aid/CPR/AED will be held on Monday, June 6, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Register at the Continuing Education Building, located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus, College Drive, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Deadline to register is Wednesday, June 1.
