Fall 2019 Don’s Steakhouse in Pocahontas in Memory of Fredia Finch Scholarship Recipient Announced

The 2018 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC.  Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship.  The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1,000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.

Brandi Wells of Ravenden has been awarded the Don’s Steakhouse in Memory of Fredia Finch Scholarship, made possible by funding from Don’s Steakhouse in Pocahontas. Wells is a graduate of Highland High School. She is the daughter of Marty and Kathy Wells and Ruth Ann Goodwin. She is the mother of four. Wells is seeking an Associate of Applied Science degree in Registered Nursing.
