Dr. Brad Baine to Begin Serving on the Greene County Community Fund Board of Directors

Dr. Brad Baine

PARAGOULD, AR May 18—Dr. Brad Baine, BRTC’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, will serve a three-year term on the Greene County Community Fund Board of Directors. His first meeting as a board member is scheduled for May 26, 2022.

The Greene County Community Fund (GCCF) was established in 1962, and its mission is “to promote, mobilize and stimulate change in the lives of family, friends, neighbors and community by providing local, non-profit agencies with financial support derived from donations of citizens within the community.” Dr. Baine, together with the other members of the GCCF board, has the responsibility of “receiving funds, allocating and distributing these funds, and promoting efficiency by reducing the expense of raising funds through a cooperative appeal by conserving voluntary manpower.”

He expressed how delighted he is to be asked to be a part of this organization by stating, “As a result of the generosity of individuals in Greene County, the Greene County Community Fund (GCCF) has provided critical support to local charities and non-profit organizations for 60 years. Over the years, the GCCF has impacted countless lives. I am extremely honored to serve alongside this elite group of individuals who strive to make the best decisions pertaining to funding for quality organizations that serve our community. As a resident of Greene County for over 40 years, I have been blessed by and benefited from the services of many local non-profit organizations. Serving on this Board gives me the opportunity to give back by offering my time and efforts. While my service on this Board will not match or be equal to all that my family and I have benefited from local non-profit organizations, I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity to serve. I am hopeful that my service will, in some small way, be beneficial to our community.\”
