BRTC’s Paragould Local Electrical Apprenticeship (PLEA) Program

PLEA Apprentice

PARAGOULD, AR. Sept. 15.The Local Electrical Apprenticeship Program through BRTC’s Paragould Corporate and Community Education Department is going strong with over 70 enrolled.

Paragould Local Electrical Apprenticeship (PLEA) is a structured system of training, designed to prepare individuals for occupations in the electrical field. The program combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced and licensed electricians.

Apprentices in the program have the opportunity to learn from a master the skills necessary to the trade.  Apprentices are sponsored by an employer, trade association, corporation, union, or a combination of these organizations.

Workers who complete the apprenticeship program can expect to hold good jobs, earn high wages, and obtain employment security. Employers needing trained workers can benefit from an apprenticeship program as well since apprentices are often more motivated and loyal to the employer who helped provide their training.

The Paragould Local Electrical Apprenticeship is a 4-year program, and there is no registration deadline; apprentices enroll when gaining employment. For more information about PLEA, visit the website or contact Patricia Sanderson at 870-239-0969 Ext. 5220 or patricia.sanderson@blackrivertech.edu.
