BRTC’s LETA Class of 2021-A Contributes to COPS Organization

POCAHONTAS, AR April 27— BRTC’s Spring 2021 Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) Class contributed $1,500 to the Arkansas Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Organization.

Each year Andrea Schmidt, active member of C.O.P.S. and widow of slain officer Jonathan Schmidt, speaks to the BRTC LETA cadets about the organization. Following her presentation, the Spring 2021 cadets started raising funds for the organization.

On Friday, April 9, the class proudly presented Schmidt a $1,500 check for C.O.P.S. LETA Director Steve Shults was impressed by the class’s generous donation and stated, “This has been a class with a servant\’s spirit.”
