BRTC’s Career and Technical Center Students Hear about Disaster Preparedness

POCAHONTAS, AR May 10— Alan Haskins, Fire Science Director at BRTC, recently gave a 3-part lecture series on the key components of disaster preparedness to BRTC’s Career and Technical Center (CTC) students.

During the lecture series, Haskins also explained the various types of disasters that the community could face, such as natural disasters, manmade disasters, and terrorism. The students also learned about how police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers together during emergencies.
