Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter Beta Delta Phi recently traveled to the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith to attend the regional PTK conference.

Two PTK members and officers, Co-Vice President of Community Service Elizabeth Spinks and Co-Vice President of College Project Kaleigh Lester, attended guest lectures, team bonding sessions, and other fun networking events. One of which was a team quiz bowl event. Lester’s team placed second.

The duo took a campus tour and accepted a “3-Star Chapter Award” on behalf of the BRTC PTK chapter.

“They had a lot of fun and have encouraged other PTK members to attend next year,” PTK Advisor Dr. Dianna Fraley said. “Also, thank you to the BRTC Foundation and Student Government Association for lending support that allowed the students to attend.”
