BRTC CTC Students Tour Hytrol

BRTC CTC students enrolled in welding, machine tool technology and industrial electricity toured the Hytrol facilities in Jonesboro on Friday, Dec. 2.

Students were given a tour of the facility by Hytrol Training and Development Coordinator Chris Sanders where the students were able to see first hand how lessons they learned in their CTC courses translated straight to the factory floor.

Sanders showed the students the manufacturing process of Hytrol conveyors as well as all of the jobs involved in the process including painting, welding and machinists. Students were also introduced to the expectations an employer like Hytrol would have upon employment as well as the wages and benefits offered.

Spring registration for the Concurrent and Technical Courses is under way right now. It is open to current 11th and 12th grade students or recent graduates.
