BRTC Awards the PECO Foods Educational Scholarship

POCAHONTAS, AR August 4, 2020 – Parker Waln of Jonesboro has accepted the PECO Foods Educational Scholarship made possible by funding from PECO Foods.  Waln is a 2020 graduate of Nettleton High School.  He is the son of Justin and Amanda Waln and is seeking a Technical Certificate in Industrial Electricity/Electronics.

The PECO Foods Educational Scholarship is a 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship.  The 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC.  Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship.  The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
