BRTC Awards the Nightingale Scholarship Awarded to Two

POCAHONTAS, AR Nov. 19, 2019  – BRTC awarded the Nightingale Scholarship to two students for the Fall 2019, Joshua Tippitt of Pocahontas and Amy Morrow of Corning.

Joshua Tippitt earned his G.E.D. in 2004.  He is the son of Scott and Belinda Tippitt of Imboden and Elisa Compton of Ravenden Springs.  He and his wife Jessye have two children, Maelee and Rosston Tippitt.

Amy Morrow is a graduate of Corning High School.  She and her family, Madison, Jase, and Bryce Morrow, live in Corning.

The scholarship is sponsored by the BRTC nursing faculty and staff and is awarded to practical nursing students in their second semester of the practical nursing program.  Recipients are chosen based on qualities that exemplify the spirit of caring embodied by Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. These nursing students are motivators and visionaries who contribute to the redefining of the profession of nursing.
