BRTC Awards the L.D. Rose Family Scholarship for Fall 2020

POCAHONTAS, AR July 30, 2020 –   Katlyn Carson of Paragould has been awarded the L.D. Rose Family Scholarship, made possible by funding from L.D. Rose and Pocahontas Aluminum Company.  Carson is a 2020 graduate of Paragould High School and the daughter of Stacy and Josh Carson.  She is seeking an Associate of Applied Science degree in Registered Nursing.

The L.D. Rose Family Scholarship is a 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship.  The 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC.  Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship.  The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
