BRTC Awards Rick Bozwell Memorial Scholarship

Elizabeth Spinks of Piggott has been awarded the Rick Bozwell Memorial Scholarship, made possible by funding from the Knights of Columbus 2443 in Pocahontas.

Spinks is a 2022 graduate of Piggott High School, and is the daughter of Joe and Tracy Spinks. She is an animal science student who plans to attend veterinarian school in the future.

The Rick Bozwell Memorial Scholarship is an annual BRTC Foundation scholarship.  The Knights of Columbus Council 2443 offers a $1,000 scholarship yearly in honor of Rick and Rita Bozwell.

The Bozwell’s were members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and supporters of both youth and agriculture in Randolph County.

The scholarship is awarded to a first-time entering freshman majoring in agriculture; the student selected will receive $500 each semester, provided the student maintains enrollment and GPA requirements.
