Elizabeth Spinks of Piggott has received the Clay County Electric Cooperative Corp. Member Scholarship made possible by funding from the Clay County Electric Cooperative Corporation.
Spinks is a 2022 graduate of Piggott High School and the daughter of Joe and Tracy Spinks. She plans to seek a bachelor’s degree in animal science after which she plans to attend veterinarian school to become a livestock and equine veterinarian.
The Clay County Electric Cooperative Corp., Member Scholarship is an annual Novaria/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship. Each golf scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship. The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1,000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and GPA requirements.
