BRTC Announces 2024 Commencement Keynote Speaker

Thirty-five-year employee and BRTC Automotive Technology Instructor Larry “Butch” Dail of Ravenden has been named the Black River Technical College (BRTC) Spring 2024 commencement keynote speaker.

Dail has been BRTC’s Automotive Collision Technology instructor for over 34 years. He began his tenure at Black River Vo-Tech in 1987 before the school became Black River Technical College in 1991.

Dail has been married to his wife, Doris, for 49 years. They have three children: Scotty, Anthony, and Angela. They have five grandchildren, Zack, Colton, Landon, Kayden, and Dawson, and two great-grandchildren, Adlee and McKinley Grace.

In addition to working at BRTC and taking care of his family, Dail is a community volunteer. Dail has served on the Ravenden City Council, as Ravenden Fire Chief, and is the song leader at Ravenden Baptist Church.

Commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 in the Randolph County Development Center. The event is free and open to the public.
