Baxter Healthcare Maintenance Supervisors Visit BRTC Technical Programs in Pocahontas

POCAHONTAS, AR  August 16, 2019  – On Tuesday, Brad Maynard, weekend maintenance lead; Mike Lunday, devices maintenance supervisor; and Shane Ferguson, plastics maintenance supervisor, from Baxter Healthcare in Mountain Home visited BRTC technical programs.  Baxter Healthcare manufactures surgical products for healthcare.

BRTC machine tool instructor Gary Meir, auto service instructor Travis DeClerk, and Business and Tech Dean Phillip Dickson provided the group with a tour of the college.  Other programs the group toured include electricity and electronics taught by Jack DeLoach, welding taught by Rickie Gunn, and auto body taught by Butch Dail.  Several of these instructors also teach in the industrial maintenance program.

Baxter Healthcare hopes to provide career opportunities to BRTC graduates and alumni in a variety of machining, production, and maintenance careers.
