25th Annual iBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament Successful

The 25th Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament had another successful year and raised over $40,000.

The tournament was held September 28 at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Pocahontas.  Proceeds from the tournament go toward to student scholarships.  In fact, the golf tournament is the largest fundraiser for BRTC scholarships.

Winners of the morning Championship Flight were, in 1st place, Jeff O’Donnell and N. Ray Campbell; 2nd place, Kelly Scobey and Kirk Scobey; 3rd place, Dr. Roger Johnson and J. D. Dial.  A-Flight winners were, in 1st place, Greg Thompson and Jeff May; 2nd place, Keelen Newsom and Rick Newsom; 3rd place, John Fears and Darrell Fears. B-Flight winners were, in 1st place, Phil Tolson and Lee Turnbull; 2nd place, Lonnie Hudson and David Johnson; 3rd place, Jim Ulmer and Jerry Morrow.  Closest to the pin winners were Clint DeLoach, Jeff O’Donnell, Bill Poe, and Bob Marinik.

Winners of the afternoon Championship Flight were, in 1st place, Dr. Joe Jones and Mark Jones; 2nd place, Mike Prichard and Bobby Prichard; 3rd place, Jerry Lindsey and Randy Johnston.  Winners of A-Flight were, in 1st place, Jeff O’Donnell and Bobby Sorg; in 2nd place, Mike Miller and Tommy Campbell; in 3rd place, Brian Niswonger and Rick Leezer.  Winners of B-Flight were, in 1st place, Ron Johnson and Phil Ducker; in 2nd place, David Baltz and Brett Liebhaber; 3rd place, Lloyd King and Charles King.  Closest to the pin winners were Dr. Joe Jones, Fred Wood, David Weick, Jr., and Dr. Joe Jones.

Running this event would not be possible without the help of all the volunteers including the BRTC Foundation Board members, staff and board members of the Rolling Hills Country Club, BRTC faculty and staff volunteers, and employees of IBERIABANK, Baltz Chevy-Olds, and Integrity 1st Bank.

In addition, more than 120 individuals and organizations gave money, goods, and services to the tournament.  Without these sponsors, including Harps Foods who sponsored the Harps Food Tent, the event would not have been possible.  More importantly, many students will benefit from scholarships essential to completing their education at BRTC.
