Excited children’s voices could be heard all over Black River Technical College’s Pocahontas campus during the week of June 13-16 as 119 students enjoyed Kids’ College for its 16th year.

The Office of Corporate and Community Education sponsors the event each year. Students entering the 1st grade through the 6th grade participate in a variety of educational and creative programs. Another important element of Kids’ College is the help of all the volunteers who serve as class leaders and helpers. Volunteers included: Madison Akins, Ruth Ann Ellis, Pat Lambert, Emma Turner, Caitlin Briner Hill, Leslie Throesch and Jaden Edington. Employees of BRTC also made up many of the volunteers throughout the week.

Special thanks to Price Chopper and Frito Lay of Pocahontas, Turner Dairy of Paragould, and Joe Reynolds of JMR Enterprises who provided snacks for the children each day.
