2016 Child Abuse Walk

On February 28th, 2013, Governor Mike Beebe declared the month of April be recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the state of Arkansas.  To honor this the Black River Technical College Social Science students are holding the 2016 Child Abuse Walk.

The walk will take place on Wednesday, April 27 on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus.  Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the RCDC Building and the walk will commence at 12 p.m.  It will cost $15 to enter and $10 for BRTC students, faculty, and staff.  T-shirts and bracelets will be for sale at the event.  There will be door prizes for those entered in the walk.

The proceeds from the event will divided equally between Bridge of Hope and the local children’s shelters in surrounding counties.  For more information contact Rachel Koons at (870)248-4000, ext. 4172.
