The Black River Technical College (BRTC) President’s Scholarships have been awarded to six students for the 2023-2024 academic year. The award covers full tuition for two consecutive semesters provided the recipient maintains a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and fulltime enrollment.
The following students have been awarded the prestigious President’s Scholarship:
Jaxon McGrew of Success is a 2023 graduate of Corning High School. He is the son of Bruce and Brenda McGrew. He plans to seek a degree in general education, which is the first step to his goal of becoming a teacher.
Landon Lucas of Corning is a 2023 graduate of Corning High School. He is the son of Mark and Crystal Lucas. He plans to seek a degree in general education.
Melanie Jones of Walnut Ridge is a 2023 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Craig and Angie Jones of Walnut Ridge. Jones is seeking a degree in criminal justice.
Mason Jackson of Viola is a 2023 graduate of Viola High School. He is the son of Greg and Jennifer Jackson. He plans to seek a degree in industrial maintenance technology.
