Workforce Education Development Coordinator

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Workforce Educational Development Coordinator for the Office Workforce Training on the Paragould Campus. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Executive Director for Workforce Training, the Workforce Education Development Coordinator will serve as education development coordinator for the businesses and industries in our service area. The primary location for this position will be Paragould, but intercampus travel is required. Work hours will generally be fixed to BRTC’s daily operations; however, a flexible work schedule will be required to assist instructors/customers.

Job Summary: The Workforce Education Development Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, planning, and administration of various workforce training programs. This role involves data analysis, financial reporting, and the management of course coordination to ensure the successful delivery of educational programs for a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:
o    Conduct daily and monthly data analysis for all classes.

o    Generate CROA reports specifically for non-credit (NC) classes, credit classes, and PST 3.

o    Monitor and analyze costs related to food and snacks for programs.

o    Develop and maintain the monthly Financial Report, including Profit & Loss statements.

Course & Program Management:
o    Coordinate and manage a diverse range of programs, including Apprenticeship, Real Estate, Pharmacy Tech, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Tech, Structural Steel & Pipe Welding, Conveyor System Management, Pipe Fitting, Diesel Technology, and Certified Dietary Manager.

o    Oversee the building of the yearly course schedule.

o    Manage course reports to ensure appropriate progression and accuracy.

o    Perform final "Coordinator Check-in" reviews of class files before archiving.

·         Administrative & Logistical Oversight:

o    Assign classrooms as needed across the Pocahontas, Paragould, and Piggott locations.

o    Direct the ordering of books and supplies for coordinated classes through the bookstore or external vendors, including managing Purchase Requests.

o    Ensure all food and snack requirements are accurately listed on set-up sheets for Administrative Assistants.

o    Oversee the maintenance of the CROA reports, ensuring year-end close-outs are completed with accurate student counts and calculations.

·         Compliance & Documentation:

o    Complete Service Agreements and Instructor Contracts, including managing DocuSign processes through the Academic Secretary.

o    Maintain oversight of Workforce Challenge Scholarship (WCS) programs.

o    Ensure proper organization and purging of filing cabinets, including the yearly files and specialized Real Estate files.

o    Maintain expert Knowledge of tuition receipting processes.

·         Required Skills and Qualifications

o    Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations, employers and community partners.

o    Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and handle organization

o    Technical Skills to have proficiency in data management and software like Microsoft Office and Google

The formal education equivalent of a baccalaureate degree in a business, education, or related field, plus five years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
