Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Payroll Specialist/Human Resources Assistant. This is a full time, non-classified, 12-month position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary duties of the Payroll Specialist/Human Resources Assistant are to process payroll for the College, which includes: verifying the accuracy of payroll data input, calculate and reconcile payroll balances based on changes in employee status, such as promotions, demotions, or other salary transactions, processing the payroll, completing payroll reports and entering benefit data in related systems, processing W2s, and other related payroll activities.
While the primary duties of this position are related to payroll, the person filling this position will also have duties related to human resources, such as completing human resources related reports, developing and processing yearly full-time contracts and other human resources related tasks that may occur annually or on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The formal education equivalent of an Associate Degree plus three years of experience in accounting or a related field is required. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
