ADJUNCT TECHNICAL FACULTY POSITIONS

Black River Technical College is accepting applications for the following adjunct technical faculty positions for the 2023-2024 academic year with the semester beginning on August 14, 2023.

MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY

The applicant will be responsible for teaching the techniques and mechanics of the machine trade, which would lead to employment of graduates as an apprentice tool and die maker or machinist.  The applicant should possess proficient knowledge of engine lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, CNC equipment, and basic machine shop equipment.  Applicants will be working with both college and high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.  Class times are 8:00 – 10:45 and 12:30 – 3:15. Please specify in your application if you are available for the morning, afternoon, or both time slots.

Positions are available for the Paragould campus. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred. The candidate should have work experience in the machinist, machine tool occupation. Teaching experience is also preferred. 

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY/ELECTRONICS

The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in the Industrial Electricity/Electronics department at Black River Technical College.  Applicants will be working with high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.  Class times are 8:00 – 10:45 and 12:30 – 3:15. Please specify in your applications if you are available for the morning, afternoon, or both time slots.

Positions are available for both the Paragould and Piggott locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred. The candidate should have work experience in an electrical or closely related occupation. Teaching experience is also preferred.  Electrician Licensure is also preferred.

WELDING TECHNOLOGY

The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in the welding department at Black River Technical College.  Applicants will be working with high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.  Class times are 8:00 – 10:45 and 12:30 – 3:15. Please specify in your application if you are available for the morning, afternoon, or both time slots

Positions are available for the Paragould campus and potentially the Piggott location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The candidate should possess welding certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS); inspector certification preferred.  Additional certification from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in welding is also desirable.  Teaching experience preferred.
